Terms of Service
Last updated: March 1, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Evntbl platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Evntbl is an online marketplace that connects event planners ("Customers") with event service providers ("Vendors"). We facilitate discovery, communication, and payment between these parties but are not a party to any agreement between Customers and Vendors.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- You may not impersonate another person or entity.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You may not share your account credentials with others.
4. Vendor Listings
Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of their listings. By creating a listing, you represent that you have the legal right to offer the described services. Evntbl reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms or our community guidelines.
5. Payments and Fees
Evntbl charges a platform fee of 10% on all transactions processed through our platform. This fee is deducted from the vendor's payout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Funds are held in escrow until after the event date, at which point they are released to the vendor.
- All prices displayed include the vendor's fee; platform fees are separate.
- Refunds are subject to the individual vendor's cancellation policy.
- Disputed transactions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Customer Cancellations
Customers may cancel a booking at any time. For bookings where payment has already been processed, refunds are determined by how far in advance the cancellation is made relative to the event date:
- 7+ days before the event: 100% refund.
- 3–7 days before the event: 50% refund.
- Under 3 days before the event: No refund.
Bookings that have been accepted but not yet paid may be cancelled freely without any charges.
Vendor Cancellations
When a vendor cancels a booking, the customer always receives a full (100%) refund regardless of timing. Vendors who cancel within 3 days of the event date receive a last-minute cancellation warning. After 3 last-minute cancellations, the vendor's account is automatically deactivated. Vendors may contact support to appeal.
Disputes
Customers have 4 days after the event to file a dispute. Funds remain in escrow during this period and throughout the review process. Disputes are reviewed manually by the Evntbl team on a case-by-case basis.
Payouts
Vendor payouts are released 4 days after the event date, provided no dispute has been filed. If a dispute is open, funds remain held until the dispute is resolved.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid paying fees.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Evntbl and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant Evntbl a license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Evntbl does not endorse, guarantee, or warranty the services of any vendor. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by vendors.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evntbl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
